Mary Pontoski: Owner/Operator
Mary is the owner and sole stylist of Sacro Studio. A stylist of nearly 9 years, she loves making people feel their best in her chair. Her favorite part of this career is being a part of the complete transformations she sees on her clients, from the outside in.
Though Mary does a wide variety of services, she is focusing more of her business on building her extensions clientele, fashion color projects, and texture transforming services.
Mary cares about the way her salon impacts the environment. That's why she partners with SalonCycle and Evolve Salon Systems to reduce her carbon footprint and give her clients the best (more on environmental impact here).

How do I schedule an appointment?
New Guests should fill out the Consultation Form above! ^^^ You will be contacted to schedule from there.
Direct Messages/Texts are also welcome to utilize scheduling appointments!
Returning guests can also use my
online booking link to schedule! If you are ever unsure of how long your appointment will take, please reach out to ensure enough time is booked for your desired result.
How long does it take?
A hair appointment can take as little as 45 minutes or as long as 5+ hours depending on the scope of the project and the amount of hair the guest has! This is why proper consultation is important so expectations are clearly set on both sides.
Is it true that dirty hair is better to have for a color appointment?
This is actually a myth! Showing up with very dirty hair can increase appointment time and hinder results. It's a good idea to wash your hair within 48 hours of your upcoming appointment. If you get on-scalp lightening, do not wash the day before or the day of your appointment.
Are extensions damaging?
Extensions can be damaging if done incorrectly. That's why it's important to ensure your stylist is highly educated and knows what they are doing. We use a very gentle method that is perfectly healthy. You can read all about it here. However, if you have hair that is extremely thin and fragile, these extensions may not be for you.

I feel like I'm losing more hair than usual. What should I do?
Thinning hair happens for a variety of reasons, and it's much more common than you think. These are common reasons your hair may be changing: hormone fluctuations, stress, new medications, recent surgeries/anesthesias, season changing, thyroid conditions. Read more in my blog here.
Why do stylists always tell me not to shop at the grocery store for my hair products?
The biggest reason is your hair deserves better! You spend hard earned money on your services, but with product that is wrong for your hair type and even potentially causing damage to your hair, you may as well be pouring money down the drain! Read more in my blog here.
